Thanks for the emails. I've been tied up with work again...
There have been many queries re: WinXP & the latest builds available on the net. I have not seen 2505/2509, so I don't know whether they include support for 3dfx cards. The rumour is that MS was asked by Nvidia not to include 3dfx support. It should be possible to use the Win2k drivers for the time being.
It is true that I have Win2k DirectX8 Voodoo3/4/5 driver sets which work with WinXP. I am unlikely to release these due to the current bandwidth problems with hosting the Banshee drivers. I may release these to one of the driver hosting sites...
Please read the FAQ & BIOS page info prior to flashing your BIOS...
I've had numerous requests for video card recommendations & info about what I'm currently using. It's very hard to go past a Geforce 3 based on features & performance. It's up to you to determine whether there are enough DX8 apps or if HRAA/improved filtering is important enough to justify the expense. I've got one & I like it... A great buy is a GF2/Pro with 32MB DDRAM. The ATI Radeon 32 DDR and Kyro II 32/64 are also worth considering. As a real bargain, a Radeon LE flashed to the Radeon 32 DDR can't be beat! I've got one in my home system...
I have a request for a Creative 3D Blaster Banshee BIOS image. If anyone has a copy could they e-mail it to me here.
